Interventional Procedures

Interventional radiology is a medical specialisation that involves a range of imaging techniques to perform medical procedures inside of the body. The interventional radiologist carefully uses these imaging techniques to perform therapeutic and diagnostic tests such as: X-rays, MRIs (magnetic resonance imaging) scans, fluoroscopy (an X-ray procedure that makes it possible to see internal organs in motion), CT (computed tomography) scans and ultrasounds.
Given how different each Interventional procedure can be, your procedure can take anywhere between 10 minutes to one hour.
